“Evidence of Life”, 2024

Evidence of life documents the less glamorous aspects of living– mess, clutter, and materialism. The title takes loose inspiration from forensic imagery– which often focus on capturing specific, closeup details– and in line with that idea, the scenes in each image are contained and contextless. As someone who was raised on the idea that organization and order were the hallmarks of a functional, mature adult existence, these images serve as a reminder that these brief arrangements and moments in time (the coffee mugs on the dining table, the pile of clothes before they’re put away) are the moments that prove that I am existing, and moving, and living.
